開国記念館
Hikone City Museum of History
「開国記念館」は、昭和35年（1960年）に井伊直弼の没後100年を記念する事業として、彦根市民の浄財によって、彦根城の佐和口多聞櫓を再現したもので、現在は彦根城に関する展示施設となっています。
The Hikone City Museum of History is a restored incarnation of the Sawaguchi Tamon Turret, funded by donations from the residents of Hikone in 1960 as part of a project to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the death of Ii Naosuke. It currently houses an exhibition about Hikone Castle.

このほか、展示替期間のため、臨時で休館することがあります。
休館日における 御城印、お城カードの販売、及び日本100名城スタンプの設置は表門券売所でいたします。
なお、表門券売所の営業時間は8:30～16:30です。

When the museum is closed, the sale of castle stamps and cards, as well as the Top 100 Japanese Castles stamp, will all take place at the front gate ticket booth instead.
The front gate ticket booth is open from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM.
